What it does
Sample Healthcare LMS is a browser-based training demo. The public build shown here connects a sample healthcare course catalog, lessons, quizzes, and learner progress.
Learners can work through a course, review assessment feedback, and return to their progress saved in the same browser.
The problem
Training software needs to make the next step clear: choose a course, read its lessons, check understanding, and see what remains. The demo needed to make that sequence reviewable before backend infrastructure was built.
Our approach
We built the learner journey around a course outline and saved progress. Quiz feedback shows both the chosen and correct answers, so a result can lead back to review.
The public demo keeps state in the browser so the learner journey can be explored without backend infrastructure.
Research and context
The NHS Staff Survey tracks whether staff feel they can access appropriate learning opportunities when needed. It provides workplace context for a training interface. Healthcare LMS demonstrates navigation through courses, lessons, and quizzes; it does not measure training access or effectiveness. [1]
Access to appropriate learning opportunities
NHS trust staff in England agreeing or strongly agreeing with question q24e, NHS Staff Survey, 2021–2025.
Preparing chart. The exact figures are available below.
| Measure | Value |
|---|---|
| 2021 | 55.11% |
| 2022 | 57.33% |
| 2023 | 60.43% |
| 2024 | 60.02% |
| 2025 | 58.24% |
Responses are weighted for occupational mix and trust size; historical figures are reweighted. The 2025 trust sample had 751,088 responses across 206 trusts. The briefing does not give q24e’s individual response count.
Staff perceptions are not course completion, competence, or patient outcomes. Non-trust organizations are excluded. Those who did not agree cannot all be classified as lacking access. These are not Healthcare LMS results.

What was built
A searchable catalog
Sample healthcare courses can be browsed by category or searched by title.
Lessons with a next step
Course outlines show progress and offer start, resume, or review actions.
Assessment feedback
Quizzes show correct and chosen answers after submission and can be tried again.
Saved learner progress
Completed lessons and quiz results persist within the browser.
Newer local course editor
The current local source adds course creation, editing, publication, and archiving. This editor is unavailable in the linked public demo.
Newer local operations view
The current local source includes an admin dashboard with simulated engagement and compliance data. It is unavailable in the linked public demo.
Product walkthrough
Choose a course
Search or filter the sample catalog and open the course outline.
Work through a lesson
Read the material, mark completion, and follow the course’s next lesson.
Review an assessment
Submit the sample quiz and compare the chosen answers with the correct ones.

The outcome
The public demo implements the learner flow from the course catalog through lessons, assessment, and saved progress. It lets reviewers explore that interface using sample courses and browser-local changes.
Scope and next steps
This is a frontend demo with browser-local state and demo authentication. The screenshots and linked demo show the earlier learner build under the Sample Healthcare LMS name.
The newer local source, branded VitalPath Learning, adds course administration and a simulated operations dashboard. Those surfaces are not available in the public demo, and its admin flag is a local interface guard rather than server-enforced permission.
The newer local dashboard’s learner counts, engagement, licensed seats, and compliance figures are simulated. They are not measured training outcomes.
Organization tenancy, real reporting, billing, and production accounts require a backend. Sample course content is not a certification of clinical training.

Project evidence
Reviewed source and the recordings establish a public learner demo with course content, quiz feedback, and browser-local progress. Newer local administration and simulated engagement analytics are separate from that deployment. There are no measured competence, certification, patient, or compliance outcomes.
